What we pay

We fund NVQ Level 3 and Level 5 for carers who want to progress. Megan and Charlotte both started as care assistants and now lead parts of the service. Your training certificates are yours to keep.

We’ll try to keep you with your clients

Where one of your clients chooses to move to Helping at Home, and we have capacity in that area, we try to keep you working with them. We cannot promise it every time. But it is one of the first things we look at, and it is often possible.

If you tell your clients’ families that you are moving to us, they can ask for you by name. Point them to our page on what to do if your care provider is closing.

Who we’re looking for

You will fit well here if you:

• Have experience of care at home, or are willing to learn it properly.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have your own vehicle.
• Have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Are 18 or over, and happy to complete an enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.

We aim to give each client a core team of up to four carers. Visits are a minimum of 30 minutes, so you have time to do the job well.
