Most families here are registered with Ollerton Primary Care Centre. For inpatient care, most people go to King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield, run by Sherwood Forest Hospitals.
Newark Hospital picks up some outpatient appointments. Its Urgent Treatment Centre is open 8am to 10.30pm, with the last patient admitted at 9.30pm. It has no A&E.

Which council does what in Ollerton
Adult social care runs through Nottinghamshire County Council, on 0300 500 80 80. It decides who is eligible and what they contribute. How the council route works covers the process.
Newark and Sherwood District Council handles adaptations to the home. Grab rails, ramps, door alterations and larger works. The occupational therapist assessment that triggers the work is still booked through the county council on the same number.
The district publishes target timescales. Minor adaptations are completed within 7 working days of the referral arriving. Major adaptations are targeted at 30 days, though some take longer. A Handy Person Adaptation Service covers smaller jobs for residents aged 60 and over, or living with a disability.
What home care costs in Ollerton
£31 an hour, £17 for a 30 minute visit, £2.50 travel per visit. Bank holidays and Christmas Day carry a premium rate.
