How It Works

From your first call to a familiar carer at the door.

No long waits, no call centres. A conversation, then a care plan built around your Mum or Dad's actual routine.

Most families call after putting it off for a while. Something has shifted, and the question needs a proper answer rather than another week of managing.

Nothing is agreed until you agree it, and nothing is charged before care starts.

The part most providers skip

Sometimes visiting care is not the right fit, or the need is beyond what a carer can safely support at home. We tell you on that first call, before anyone visits.

An honest “not yet” costs us an enquiry. It saves you a fortnight.

What each step does

The care assessment is a free visit to work out what would help, with no obligation at the end of it.

The care plan sets out what happens on each visit, when, and what matters to the person receiving it.

Meeting your carers happens before the first visit wherever we can arrange it.

Being CQC-regulated sits under all of it. We are rated Good across all five domains, assessed on 19 November 2025.

Where the timings vary

How quickly care can start depends on the rota in your town that week. You will get the real answer at assessment.

If a hospital discharge is coming, use the fast-track form instead.

Once care is running

Plans are reviewed as circumstances change, and families get a record of every visit. If something is not working, call the office on 01636 646915. The office is open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday. Carers visit between 7am and 10pm, seven days a week.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when I first call?

You speak to someone in the Newark office, not a call centre. They ask what has changed and what a normal day looks like now, and they book a care assessment if it sounds like we can help. If we are not the right provider, we tell you on that call, before anyone visits.

Is the care assessment free?

Yes, and there is no obligation at the end of it. The assessment is a free visit to the home, usually 60 to 90 minutes, carried out by Courtney Pike, Megan Williams or Charlotte Offord. Where the situation is more complex, we allow longer rather than rushing it.

Who decides what goes in the care plan?

The person receiving care, with their family if they want them there. The plan is written from what the assessment found, and Courtney Pike, our Registered Manager, holds the Care Quality Commission registration and oversees every one. It is reviewed as circumstances change rather than left to stand.

Will we meet the carers before care starts?

Wherever possible, yes. Carers are introduced before the first visit so nobody opens the door to a stranger on day one. Rounds are built by geography, so the carers on your round are usually the ones who live in your town or the villages beside it.

What if care is needed urgently?

Call 01636 646915 during office hours, 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday. For a hospital discharge, use the fast-track form and we respond within a few hours, including outside office hours. Urgent situations skip the queue for an assessment, they do not skip the assessment itself.
