Home care across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

From our office at 65 London Road in Newark we cover eight towns and large villages, and the villages around each one.

Two things decide how far our visiting care reaches. One is drive time: we plan rounds around clusters of nearby homes, because 40 minutes in the car between two half-hour visits helps neither client. The other is whether our carers live nearby. If they do, a colleague can cover when someone is off sick. If they don’t, we’ll tell you, and we won’t take on visits we can’t staff.

Live-in care works differently. The carer lives in the home, so distance from Newark makes no difference, and live-in reaches across the whole of Nottinghamshire and into South Lincolnshire.

Which council you deal with

A few places have a Newark postal address but sit in Lincolnshire. Long Bennington is the one that comes up most: NG23 postcode, Newark on the envelope, South Kesteven district. Council-funded care and Direct Payments there run through Lincolnshire. If you are paying privately, or through NHS Continuing Healthcare, the border makes no difference.

What it costs, wherever you are

Rates do not change by town. Visiting care starts at £31 an hour, with a minimum visit of 30 minutes at £17, plus a £2.50 travel charge per visit. Live-in care starts at £1,800 a week for one person and £2,250 for a couple. Home care is exempt from VAT, so there is nothing to add to any of those figures.

Who you speak to

Courtney Pike, our Registered Manager, holds the registration with the Care Quality Commission and oversees every care plan. The office is open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, on 01636 646915. Carers visit between 7am and 10pm, seven days a week.
